We are thrilled to announce that Pius Ndukwu, a 300-level student of Electrical/Electronic Engineering at the School of Science and Technology, Pan-Atlantic University received double honors for two of his innovative projects that have earned recognition in the recent competition by Hackster.io and ETH Zürich.
The projects are:
🌊 Guided Seas: Navigating Possibilities for Disabled Swimmers and
🤝 Handy Pager: Empowering Mobility for the Disabled
🌊Guided Seas: Navigating Possibilities for Disabled Swimmers
My submission, Guided Seas, a cutting-edge headgear designed to assist disabled swimmers with partial blindness, has received an Honorable Mention Award! 🎉 The headgear features strategically placed vibrator motors that act as directional cues, providing invaluable guidance for those navigating the waters. It’s incredible to see technology making a positive impact on accessibility in sports.
🤝 Handy Pager: Empowering Mobility for the Disabled
But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Another creation of mine, Handy Pager, secured a spot as a Runner-Up in the Traveling Theme category. This glove-shaped pager serves as a lifeline for individuals with mobility challenges, allowing them to call for assistance with a simple button press on their palm. To top it off, Handy Pager was also a Lucky Draw winner! 🎁
