SST organized a workshop on engineering safety precautions for the students before the commencement of laboratory practices. The Dean, Dr. Darlington Agholor facilitated the interactive session. The students where put through the basic principles of healthy laboratory tips such as; keeping work areas clean, use the proper tool for the job, always wear the proper engineering boiler suit for the work task, never work on live equipment, make sure chemicals are properly labeled and stored, communicate hazards to other personnel, stop work when needed to address hazards.
